Description

This Parmesan Crusted Chicken sheet pan dinner delivers crispy, cheesy goodness straight to your table with minimal cleanup. Weeknight dinner heroes will appreciate how quickly your family can enjoy a golden-crusted chicken feast that comes together in one simple pan.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Proteins:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Starches:

  • 1 lb baby potatoes
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs

Seasonings and Add-Ins:

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 lemon
  • 12 ounces fresh green beans
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Olive oil spray
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper for effortless cleanup.
  2. Create the crispy coating by combining 1 cup Parmesan, ½ cup Panko, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, minced garlic, lemon zest, ½ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp black pepper in a shallow bowl.
  3. Pour 3 tbsp melted butter into a separate bowl for dipping your chicken.
  4. Thoroughly dry 4 chicken breasts with paper towels to ensure maximum crispiness.
  5. Dunk each chicken piece into melted butter, then press firmly into the Parmesan mixture, coating completely.
  6. Position the breaded chicken on one side of the prepared sheet pan.
  7. Toss 1 lb halved baby potatoes with 1 tbsp olive oil, ½ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp pepper.
  8. Spread potatoes on the other side of the sheet pan and roast for exactly 10 minutes.
  9. Remove the pan and scatter 12 oz green beans around the potatoes, drizzling with a touch of oil and a pinch of salt.
  10. Return the pan to the oven for another 10-15 minutes until chicken turns golden and potatoes become tender.
  11. Switch your oven to broil and cook for 1-2 minutes to achieve extra crunch, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  12. Finish by squeezing fresh lemon wedges over the entire dish and garnishing with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • Chicken thickness matters, so pound breasts to even thickness for consistent cooking and crispy coating.
  • Pat chicken completely dry before coating to ensure the Parmesan crust adheres perfectly and gets deliciously golden.
  • For gluten-free version, swap Panko breadcrumbs with almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs to maintain crispy texture.
  • If vegetables aren’t your favorite, swap green beans for broccoli, asparagus, or Brussels sprouts without changing cooking times.
