- Gently mix in ½ cup raisins and ½ tsp allspice. The mixture should have some chunks and some mashed potato texture.
- Spread the sweet potato mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Dot the surface with 2 tbsp cubed unsalted butter.
- In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup pecans with 2 tbsp maple syrup until pecans are well coated.
- Sprinkle the pecan mixture over the sweet potato base. Top with 1 cup marshmallows.
- Cover the casserole with foil and bake at 375°F for 15 minutes.
- Remove foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes until the top turns golden and marshmallows become gooey.
