Description

Hamburger Mushroom Bake brings comfort right to your dinner table with a hearty blend of ground beef and savory mushrooms. Creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor, this simple casserole delivers a satisfying meal that your family will devour in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb sliced mushrooms
  • 3 large eggs

Supporting Ingredients:

  • 6 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic

Seasonings and Garnish:

  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grab a 9×9 inch baking dish and generously grease the surface with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Place 1 lb ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Break meat into small crumbles and season with ½ tsp salt and ¼ tsp black pepper.
  3. Cook beef until no pink remains, approximately 6-7 minutes. Drain excess fat completely using a colander.
  4. Melt 2 tbsp unsalted butter in the same skillet over medium heat. Add 1 lb sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Stir 2 tsp minced garlic into mushrooms. Sprinkle 1 tsp seasoning salt and 2 tbsp chopped parsley. Sauté for an additional 45-60 seconds.
  6. Blend 6 oz softened cream cheese and 3 large eggs in a food processor until smooth and creamy, about 30-45 seconds.
  7. Mix cream cheese blend with cooked ground beef in the skillet. Ensure even distribution of ingredients.
  8. Transfer beef and cream cheese mixture to the prepared baking dish. Spread sautéed mushrooms evenly across the top.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes at 350°F until the center is set and edges turn light golden brown.
  10. Remove from oven and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the surface. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Drain ground beef thoroughly to prevent excess grease from making the dish soggy and affecting the cream sauce texture.
  • Let the cream cheese soften at room temperature before blending to ensure a smooth, lump-free sauce that mixes easily with the beef.
  • Choose fresh mushrooms with firm caps for the best sautéed flavor and a nice golden color when cooking.
  • For a low-carb version, swap the traditional baking dish for a cast-iron skillet to reduce carbohydrates and add a rustic presentation.
