- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 20 g ketchup
- 10 g yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon pickle juice
- 1 teaspoon dehydrated onions
- 1 tablespoon neutral oil
Instructions
- Cook frozen shoestring fries in air fryer at 400°F for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy. Set aside on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Heat 1 tablespoon neutral oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 500g ground beef and diced onion, breaking meat into small crumbles while cooking.
- Continue sautéing beef mixture for 6-8 minutes until meat is completely browned and onions become translucent.
- Add 2 minced garlic cloves and cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
- Sprinkle 1 teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper into skillet. Mix thoroughly.
- Drain excess fat from beef mixture using paper towels or colander.
- Pour 300g cheddar cheese soup and 300g cream of mushroom soup into skillet. Stir until meat is evenly coated and mixture looks creamy.
- Grease 11×8 inch baking dish with small amount of oil. Spread meat mixture across bottom in uniform layer.
- Arrange pre-cooked french fries across meat base, creating complete coverage.
- Sprinkle 150g shredded sharp cheddar cheese evenly over fries.
- Bake at 350°F for 12-15 minutes until cheese melts completely and edges start browning.
- Whisk 60g mayonnaise, 20g ketchup, 10g yellow mustard, 1 tablespoon pickle juice, 1 teaspoon dehydrated onions, and pinch of pepper in small bowl.
- Remove casserole from oven and let rest 5 minutes. Drizzle prepared burger sauce across top before serving.
Notes
- Check the package instructions for fries carefully, as cooking times vary between brands.
- Drain meat thoroughly to prevent a greasy casserole and ensure crisp fries stay crunchy.
- Use sharp cheddar for maximum flavor depth and a more complex cheese profile.
- For a lower-carb version, swap french fries with roasted cauliflower florets or zucchini strips.
