Description

Bacon egg cheese biscuit bake layers savory breakfast favorites into one satisfying dish. It’s warm, filling, and perfect for feeding a hungry crowd.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Supporting Ingredients:

  • ⅓ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Garnish:

  • 2 green onions

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish thoroughly with cooking spray. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Cut the 16.3-oz can of refrigerated biscuit dough into quarters. Spread these pieces across the bottom of your prepared dish.
  3. Crack 6 large eggs into a mixing bowl. Pour ⅓ cup milk over the eggs. Sprinkle ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper into the mixture.
  4. Whisk the egg blend until smooth and fully combined. Stir 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese and 8 crumbled bacon slices into the liquid.
  5. Pour the entire egg, cheese, and bacon mixture directly over the biscuit pieces. Make sure every piece of dough gets coated with the liquid.
  6. Slide the baking dish into the 350°F oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the center sets and the top turns a deep golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 3-5 minutes. Slice into squares. Sprinkle sliced green onions on top if you prefer extra flavor.

Notes

  • Chop bacon into small, crispy pieces for even distribution throughout the dish.
  • Ensure biscuit dough is evenly spread to create a consistent base that absorbs the egg mixture perfectly.
  • Let the bake rest for 5 minutes after removing from the oven to help the eggs set and make cutting easier.
  • For a gluten-free version, swap regular biscuit dough with a gluten-free alternative and check that your bacon is gluten-free.
