Herbs and Seasonings:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- 1 pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Boil 400g spaghetti in salted water for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain completely.
- Warm 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Sauté 1 diced onion and 2 minced garlic cloves for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Add 500g ground beef to the skillet, breaking it into small pieces. Cook 6-7 minutes until no pink remains.
- Pour 400g canned tomatoes into the beef. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes.
- Mix cooked spaghetti with meat sauce until thoroughly combined.
- Transfer spaghetti mixture to the baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Scatter 200g shredded mozzarella and 100g grated parmesan cheese across the top.
- Bake 25-30 minutes until cheese melts and turns golden brown.
- Remove from oven and rest 5 minutes before serving to allow flavors to settle.
Notes
- Use freshly grated parmesan for richer flavor and better melting texture.
- Keep the dish covered with foil for the first 15 minutes of baking to prevent cheese from burning.
- Let the spaghetti rest after cooking to help it absorb sauce more effectively.
- For a gluten-free version, swap traditional spaghetti with zucchini noodles or gluten-free pasta.
